The OLPH CYO recently attended its annual Winter Retreat at Camp Abbey from January thirteenth to the fifteenth. The retreat was led by a group of spiritually motivated young adults that have had great faith experiences throughout their lives. They all played a major role in making this retreat a success. They interacted with the CYO members well and were very spiritually open and accepting. They talked to the CYO in short segments they called sessions. Each session focused on different aspects of the Catholic Faith. They were open to any questions concerning the Catholic Faith.
The CYO had a great turn out with almost every member attending. Most members were there to socialize and have fun but that wasn’t the only thing they did while there. They attended mass, adoration, and confession was optional. They were segmented into small groups that reflected on past talks and each person’s spiritual life. I feel every CYO member encountered God in one way or another. Needless to say every member left touched by God’s love and renewed by his Divine Grace.
