Dear OLPH Family,
Greetings from the Archdiocese of Tororo, Eastern Uganda!
I write with great joy to say Hello and to let you all know I arrived safely. It was quite an emotional time re-uniting with family and friends after almost 5 years of being away.
As I departed the US, my Archbishop asked me to stay and assist at my Home-Parish – St Theresa, Achilet. My home parish serves more than 1500 Catholics with over 15 Mission Churches and 13 Catholic Schools under it. The parish is quite busy and since my return I have had to preach at every Mass at the Parish (a minimum of 2 each day); visited 9 of the Schools, served and preached at these Masses too. I have also had about 13 infant baptisms, about 15 adult Baptisms, 1 Wedding and no funerals (Thank God!).
The Ordination Date is still set for August 6, 2016 and I will be entering my Ordination Preparation Retreat beginning this Sunday July 31, 2016 through the morning of August 5, 2016. I look forward to praying for each of you during my Retreat. The Diocese and myself certainly look forward to hosting Fr. Kyle and those OLPH Family Members coming along with him.
It is no doubt that I greatly miss my OLPH Family and can’t do much except to pray for and think about all of you.
Many Blessings to you all!
