C.C. Merritt is excited to be Our Lady of Perpetual Help’s Coordinator of Religious Education. She has worked for the Archdiocese for the past 16 years as Administrative Assistant, Parish Secretary and Secretary to the DRE at St. Francis of Assisi and St. Andrew Parishes. She is the wife of Deacon Ed and enjoyed supporting him through his formation years by attending almost all classes and events.
She and Deacon Ed raised six children, are anxiously awaiting the birth of their third grandchild due in October, and will celebrate 33 years of matrimony this month.
C.C. grew up in Gentilly (better known as Cecilia back then) and graduated from Mt. Carmel Academy. She attended UNO & LSU studying engineering. Currently she is enrolled in the Institute of Lay Ecclesial Ministry at Notre Dame Seminary.
C.C. is looks forward to sharing her faith through her new ministry and wants to do her best to help parishioners encounter Jesus.
