Opportunity for Fr. Maestri to be of Priestly Service to OLPH

 Our Pastoral and Finance Councils met on Thursday, July 20, 2023, to discuss a possible opportunity for our Parish.  Fr. Maestri is a native New Orleanian, but is currently living in California.  He has expressed a desire to come home.  With this desired move, he has asked if he can be of priestly service to our parish.  In Fr. Maestri’s previous work in the Archdiocese of New Orleans, he has had to make several tough announcements-including the closing of schools and churches.  This has caused some hard feelings against Fr.
