Lise Brémond was born in France to a mother from New Orleans and a French father. They soon moved back to the New Orleans area, eventually settling in Slidell where Ms. Brémond grew up. She graduated high school from Pope John Paul II High School and after studying at Louisiana State University, earned a bachelor’s degree in French and history from the University of New Orleans (UNO.) After first working in several family businesses and in finance, Ms. Brémond continued her studies at UNO. She completed their post-baccalaureate program becoming certified to teach French, English, and Social Studies, and eventually earned a master’s degree in Education Administration.
For the last seventeen years, Ms. Brémond has served at Pope John Paul II High School in Slidell. She began as a teacher, teaching French, English, and Social Studies. After a few years she was named Dean of Academics and, eventually, Assistant Principal. She has held this position since 2011.
Ms. Brémond has been married to Mr. Darren Kling for fourteen years. Mr. Kling works for Engineering Inspection Services as a Pipe Designer, currently contracted to work at the Meraux Valero plant. Ms. Brémond and Mr. Kling are the proud parents of a 10 year old son, Dillon, who will be a 5th grader this fall. Ms. Brémond, Mr. Kling, and Dillon live in Slidell with Ms. Brémond’s mother, Cate Costello, a retired teacher, and their two dogs, a pug Bruno and a shih-tzu mix Enzo.
