St. Vincent DePaul Society members are known as Vincentians, who witness God's love by helping with works of charity. Members visit clients and make decisions on the best way to help them. It is a person-to-person service to the needy of our parish.
The OLPH St. Vincent DePaul Society consists of 31 active and 10 associate members who help provide assistance to residents in the Belle Chasse area. The conference meets bi-monthly and has provided 96 families with food assistance, helped 54 families with utilities, rent, etc. and provided 48 Christmas baskets. At Christmas time, they collect much-needed items for Ozanam Inn, a shelter for homeless men. If you would like to join this ministry, please call Laura in the Church Office, 504-394-0314.
Remember the poor box in the back of church provides funds to help the needy.
